Behind the blog “Creatrice d’Evasion” hides Justine, 26 years old, native from a small region of France called ‘Brittany’ and passionate about travel and photography.
Travel has become my “way of life” since 2015 after my first escapade of a few months in Africa, in Cameroon. After this incredible experience, I knew that something had changed deep inside me and that travel would take a big place in my life. I apparently caught this well-known virus called travel bug. Is it bad? I don’t know. But what I do know from deep within myself is that I can no longer do without the feeling of freedom that travel offers, the desire to leave everything behind and discover all the wonders that this world has to offer.
This is what I decided to do on a certain 4 November 2016. With my boyfriend, we were on our way to Australia for 1 year. In the end, we never came back home, in France (well, we do, but just for holidays).
Since that day, I continue to wander here and there in the company of my partner in crime, Benoît: Australia, Bali, currently New Zealand, and much more to come…
You’re going to tell me that it’s not much in three years. True. But we are rather considering ourselves as “slow-travellers”.
Travelling for me is not just about spending a few days in one country and then scratching it on a map to say “there’s one more country, next!” No.
Travelling is to immerse yourself in, feel and understand a new culture, a new way of life, a new country and new people. It means spending time discovering the most incredible places in the country, but it also means taking the time to stroll around, getting off the tourist beaten track to feel the local atmosphere and why not live totally like locals.
Travelling is also starting an inner, personal journey to get to know yourself inside. It’s the opportunity to get out of our comfort zone and to confront ourselves; to discover our fears but also our real aspirations and needs deeply buried inside of us.
Travel opens the mind, liberates us, forces us to question ourselves and others.
This is why we have visited “only” three countries in 3 years. During our travels, we have tried our best to get out of our comfort zone, to open our minds to all opportunities and to try out new lifestyles, such as living in a campervan.

I understand this definition of travel does not correspond to everyone. Some have not yet had the opportunity to travel this way and this is why I wish to share my experience, my feelings and tips through this blog.
